The british high commission spokesperson, Dean Hurlock made it known to the public that the UK government on Wednesday has written to the federal government of Nigeria to seek clarification with respect to the re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader.
The high commission, Hurlock said the united kingdom foreign, commonwealth and development office"stands ready to provide consular assistance.
Hurlock, in Abuja on wednesday is in the process of seeking clarification from Nigeria government about the re-arrest of kanu, he said.
The high commission added that united kingdom would expect any legal proceedings must undergo due process as Nnamdi kanu resumes prosecution.
Kanu who was arrested on sunday was bring back to Nigeria to face his trials, which include reasonable felony, terrorism, jumping bail and some others.
